All about tuning cars

Truth and fiction about the methods of conception. Is it possible to get pregnant after the first time? Is it possible to get pregnant without inserting

This is the most common question from the field of gynecology that can be found on the Internet and it is safe to say that in the lives of most people it was the cause of a period of sleepless nights. I have already made several attempts earlier to give a detailed explanation on this issue, but still, alas, there is no complete understanding. Another attempt.

First, the technical side of the issue.

So, in order for a pregnancy to occur, an egg must be fertilized by a sperm, and there are a number of nuances: an egg lives on average for 48 hours, a sperm for 72 hours. Not in every menstrual cycle ovulation occurs, not every egg is equally full, that is, capable of fertilization. There is a situation when the egg turns out to be defective and as a result the embryo dies within a few days. To fertilize an egg requires the work of not a single sperm, but hundreds. About three hundred spermatozoa actively dissolve the shell of the egg - one falls inside and the shell immediately becomes impenetrable to others. Like an egg, a failed sperm cell may be defective and then a full-fledged embryo will not work again and pregnancy will not happen. What does all this mean? Even if "everything happened inside" it is impossible to predict the onset of pregnancy until there is a delay, so countless questions "could I get pregnant?" before the onset of a delay in menstruation, it is pointless to ask doctors, since the gift of clairvoyance with a medical diploma is not given to the load. Once again: even if you ovulated on the day of intercourse and the whole portion of sperm got into you - until there is a delay, nothing will be learned, since even if the egg was fertilized, the resulting embryo may be defective and die before the onset of menstruation or on the day its beginning.

For a complete understanding, I will once again indicate the conditions for the onset of pregnancy: ovulation should occur (the release of the egg from the follicle) and the resulting egg should be mature and full. At least 300-400 sperm must "attack" the egg and begin to dissolve its membrane. A randomly sperm sperm should be complete. And of course, all organs and systems that ensure the onset of pregnancy should work correctly in a woman's body, for example, the fallopian tubes are passable and functional, the uterus is not damaged, etc.

I hope that the described sacrament of the onset of pregnancy will allow to some extent reduce the passions around various "signs" of pregnancy that a woman begins to feel after unprotected intercourse even before the delay in menstruation. A tense and agitated organism begins to "draw" many different "signs" of the conception that has occurred: tingling, stretching, "tickling", "stirring", abdominal pain, nausea, tension in the mammary glands, the appearance of bloody discharge. All these sensations have nothing to do with pregnancy and are nothing more than the fruit of a fantasy played out. I will repeat once again, until there is a delay in menstruation, it is impossible to talk about the onset of pregnancy. Moreover, pregnancy can be interrupted in the first days of the delay, which will manifest itself as more abundant and painful periods if the resulting embryo was with a serious defect. This, for example, often happens when planning a pregnancy, when, for several months, despite a regular sex life and the absence of factors, infertility does not occur. The absence of pregnancy in this case may be due to the fact that it is not possible to make a high-quality embryo from cycle to cycle.

There are many options for "dangerous" sexual intercourse. There is simply unprotected sexual intercourse - like this, passion covered and sailed - "I'm sorry, I could not restrain myself." There is coitus interruptus, which has two options: dangerous and not dangerous. With a dangerous option, the penis is removed from the vagina at the time of ejaculation or, as it seems to the man, a second before, but this is often not the case. A man may not feel the first wave of ejaculation and it remains in the vagina, although visual control of both partners seems to be convinced of the success of the venture, the first portion of sperm may be insidiously in the vagina. A safe option for interrupted intercourse implies that after the removal of the penis, a certain amount of time and appropriate action is still required for the ejaculation process to begin. The main thing is that if a second intercourse is supposed, the man needs to urinate after the first ejaculation, because if he does not do this, active sperm can be released throughout the next intercourse. There is an opinion that sperm can be contained in the lubricant released from the penis during intercourse, but even if this can be (I could not find scientific data on this), then their number will clearly not be enough to fertilize an egg, since quite a lot of sperm cells die already in the aggressive environment of the vagina, the cervix and the uterus itself on the way to the fallopian tube, where the egg is waiting for them.

Condom error. Most often, a condom breaks or falls off due to improper dressing. It is important at the very beginning to squeeze the sperm receptacle (a small pocket at the very top) with your fingers (or lips - if you have experience) so that no air remains in it. In this case, the condom will completely encircle the penis, will not stretch and, accordingly, tear or slide. The condom itself should be rolled out to the very base of the penis, not half of its length. And of course, you need to select a product in terms of size and quality. If you find that the condom flew off or broke and there is sperm in it, this situation can be equated to the ingress of sperm into the vagina. The ingress of sperm on the external genital organs (with interrupted intercourse or from a torn condom) can also potentially be equated to the ingress of sperm into the vagina, since the "leakage" of a small portion of sperm, taking into account the anatomical features of the female genital organs, cannot be fully controlled.

It is rather difficult to assess the situation from the point of view of the potential danger of pregnancy when it comes to sperm that got on the hands with the subsequent use of these hands to stimulate the external genitalia and insert them into the vagina. Let me remind you that for the fertilization of an egg, more than one sperm is needed and a fairly large part of the sperm that have entered the vagina dies in it. In other words, the amount of sperm caught matters. Since you cannot reliably estimate how much sperm was on your hands or your partner's hand, all such situations should be considered as potentially dangerous, regardless of what the “affected area” was by the sperm of your body parts.

Often I have to sort out the situation that arises in rather loving women, they put the following question in front of me: if I had sexual intercourse with one man on the 12th day of the cycle, and with another on the 15th day - if I get pregnant, then from whom is it more likely will this pregnancy be all? Alas, it is not possible to determine this, sperm cells can live for several days, and in different men they can vary quite a lot in activity, therefore such a spermomix cannot be investigated at the initial stage. Only a genetic examination to establish paternity after the birth of a child will bring final clarity.

Now let's move on directly to what to do if, according to the conditions described above, you have had a dangerous sexual intercourse. The first thing to start with is to ask the question - what is your cycle day (the days of the menstrual cycle are counted from the first day of the last menstruation, that is, from the day you started your period)? This is most important with a regular cycle (with an error of 1-3 days). It is believed that 10 days around the day of ovulation will be dangerous, that is, with a 28-day cycle from 9 to 19 days of the cycle - dangerous days. The rest of the days are not entirely safe, the risk of pregnancy on these days is significantly lower and is about 5%. The fact is that under the influence of various circumstances (stress, illness, climate change, etc.), the onset of ovulation may shift, and this situation determines the facts of pregnancy even when intercourse was during menstruation or on the eve of menstruation.

In general, the safest days are near the end of the cycle, that is, at the beginning of menstruation. As, let me remind you, the egg cell lives only 24-48 hours after ovulation.

With an irregular cycle, everything is complicated. The very fact that the cycle is not regular most often indicates that ovulation does not occur or occurs rarely and completely unpredictably. In such conditions, there is no need to talk about safe or dangerous days. Therefore, all days must be considered as potentially dangerous and action must be taken.

What measures can be taken if it happened ...? For this, there are emergency contraceptive drugs. There are three of them on the market: postinor, escapel and ginepristone. I have listed them in ascending order of effectiveness, that is, genipristone is the most reliable, but it does not provide 100% results either. It can be taken within 120 hours of unprotected intercourse. In general, this is quite safe, but often you should not use this method.

So, if, according to my description above, you have come to the conclusion that you have a dangerous situation (dangerous days with a regular cycle or any day with an irregular one), you need to take emergency contraception measures as soon as possible, in particular ginepristone.

After taking the drug, your period may come earlier, on time, or there may be a slight delay.

Even if you took emergency contraception measures, but there was a delay or your period was somehow strange (poorly or shortly), you must definitely do a pregnancy test. With an irregular cycle, the test should be done after 20-25 days if the period did not start earlier.

Or how to be careful not to "fly in"!

Dr. Mary Jane Minkin, Clinical Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the Yale School of Medicine, shared some interesting facts about how you can get pregnant even when your partners are not expecting it at all.

1. Let him come from the "reverse"

Yes guys, it's true. A woman can get pregnant anyway. According to Minkin, “Even if it is passed rectally, some semen may end up near or in the vagina. Let's face it, the vagina and rectum are very close territories. "

2. Opening a condom with your teeth

One word: Slow down. In the heat, you can accidentally damage the condom without realizing it (the same applies to scissors). Minkin suggests that you or your partner open it with your fingers.

3. Imitation of intercourse in underwear

Did you know that you can get pregnant while simulating intercourse in lingerie? Although very rare, Minkin says it could be possible if the man's sperm seeps through the slit in his boxers or if the woman's underwear is pushed to the side, allowing sperm to enter the vagina.

4. You can get pregnant when you are already pregnant

Brain Explosion! This strange (and rare) phenomenon is called superfetation. This happens when the girl is already pregnant and continues to ovulate. The second fertilized egg becomes the cause of the second pregnancy.

5. Using petroleum-based lubricants with condoms

Never use oil-based lubricants and condoms together. While many lubricants are completely safe for use with condoms, petroleum-based lubricants such as petroleum jelly are not suitable. According to Minkin, these types of lubricating oils have the potential to destroy the latex structure and create microscopic holes in the condom, increasing the chances of flying in.

6. Fooling around in the bathtub, even without sex

A girl can get pregnant in the pool or bath, even without direct intercourse! Minkin says, "Every time your vulva comes in contact with semen, sperm can be trapped inside." While this is unlikely, it is by no means impossible.

7. Even if a girl regularly takes pills, she can still get pregnant.

Although birth control pills greatly reduce a girl's chances of getting pregnant (over 99%), they are still not 100% effective - even if you never skip taking them (this also applies to other forms of birth control like IUD, diaphragm, cervical cap, etc.). Minkin says: "Any contraceptive has a small failure rate."

8. When "sticky" fingers penetrate the vagina

Minkin says that even if the guy "came" outside, there is a possibility that with the help of his hands the sperm will be able to find a new home ... inside the girl.

9. You leave no space at the end of the condom

The lack of space at the tip of the condom potentially contributes to sperm shedding through the sides, Minkin says. Well, you get the idea.

10. When you have sex with a guy who had a vasectomy

Ligation of the vas deferens (vasectomy), just like any other form of birth control, cannot be 100% effective. Minkin says that “the vasectomy does not take effect immediately. Only a semen analysis a couple of months after the operation will clarify the picture. " In addition, in 1% of cases, the function of the vas deferens is partially restored.

11. You can get pregnant even after the tubal ligation has been done

Like a vasectomy, tubal ligation is only 99% effective. Overall, though, this surgery is a great way to prevent pregnancy.

12. Having sex during your period

Sperm can live inside you for up to five days! This means that if a girl has sex before the bleeding ends and early ovulation, she is able to become pregnant, Minkin says.

13. If a girl takes pills the next morning

Emergency contraception lowers your chances of getting pregnant, but it cannot completely prevent it. Minkin confirms that when the pill is taken within 24 hours, its effectiveness is about 95%. However, the later the girl takes the pill, the less effective it is. Using regular contraception is also more cost effective.

14. Using old condoms, especially those that have been exposed to high and low temperatures

People, these things don't last forever! If your partner takes a condom out of his wallet, think twice. Minkin recommends using an unexpired condom as latex loses its elasticity over time. A condom that has been exposed to high and low temperatures is also not worth using, for the same reason.

15. Fertility tracking

Don't get us wrong, fertility tracking is a good thing. Perfectly understand your body and know the approximate time of ovulation. But this is not a guaranteed way to avoid conception. Minkin talks about the need to remember that sperm can live inside a woman for five days, so even if sex was before ovulation, the chances of conception still exist.

16. Having sex during the breastfeeding period

If you learn about all families with babies born within 10 months, you will realize that breastfeeding is not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy. According to Minkin, the hormones involved in breastfeeding help suppress ovulation, but that doesn't mean a woman can't get pregnant - even if she hasn't started her period after giving birth.

Some believe that sexual contact between a virgin and a young man will not lead to conception. But in this matter, everything is not so simple. Let's figure out if a virgin can get pregnant, consider all the options in this article.

Conceive the first time as a virgin

Many people believe that it is impossible to get pregnant with the first intercourse. But doctors insist that the chances, although small, are still there. As soon as a young girl begins to comprehend the basics of sex life, she is responsible for all the consequences. In the practice of gynecologists, there were many cases when a child was conceived. At the same time, the hymen was preserved, it was removed before childbirth or at a doctor's appointment.

This state could be explained by the fact that such a film has good elasticity. Thanks to this, she may not tear even after several sexual contacts. At the same time, she has small holes through which sperm enter the girl's body. In this case, the chance of getting pregnant the first time being a virgin is very high.

According to medical statistics, it is possible to conceive as a virgin in 5% of cases. The prognosis for this is calculated based on how long a healthy woman's menstrual cycle is. And, as a rule, its duration averages from 27 to 29 days. In addition, fertile days should be considered. During this time, some eggs move along the fallopian tubes. Therefore, the probability of conception on such days is very small. Next, we will answer the question of whether a virgin can get pregnant, consider all the options and find out in more detail.

Is it easy to get pregnant from a man's lubrication?

In the practice of many doctors, there have been situations when pregnancy could occur in the body of a virgin. All girls who are sexually mature and have a regular menstrual cycle are at risk. You should be aware that conception can occur even if the male penis has not penetrated the vagina.

Gynecologists say that it is not uncommon for a small number of sperm to enter the female genitals. Since they can remain viable for a while, the partner is more likely to become pregnant. And if the virgin is not yet ready to become a mother, some measures should be taken:

  1. Before having sexual intercourse, the young man must wash his penis. It is best to do this with a lather.
  2. Since some of the sperm may remain in the urinary tract, be sure to empty the bladder. In this case, the urine will completely remove the contents.

The girl must remember that she needs to use reliable methods of contraception, otherwise you can get pregnant from the man's lubrication. This can happen not only during ovulation, but also during the rest of the time.

Is conception possible if sperm is ingested?

Pregnancy becomes quite possible if even a drop of sperm gets on the external genitals of the virgin as a result of ejaculation. This is due to the fact that sperm move very quickly. Since they move only in a liquid structure, well-moistened genitals are a favorable environment for this.

This can be easily achieved if the partner is sexually aroused. As for the water, they die in it almost instantly. Only the liquid medium of the sperm will be ideal for the movement of sperm. For most of them, the internal lubrication of the female vagina is destructive.

After getting on the external genital organs, healthy spermatozoa are viable for the first 70 minutes. The slowest of them move at a speed of 1 mm / min. As for the very fast ones, which are in the semen of healthy men, they move up to 5 mm / min.

Sperm in sperm can move from the external genitalia to the female vagina in just a few minutes. Therefore, a girl and her partner must definitely use contraceptives, since washing away after intercourse is not always effective. Doctors say that sperm can already enter the cervix while the woman goes to the bathroom. Therefore, the likelihood of getting pregnant is very high if semen is ingested.

Is it easy to get pregnant with anal sex?

Some girls believe that it is impossible to get pregnant with anal sex. They are dissuaded by doctors, who say that if the partner did not use a condom, some of the sperm will enter the vagina. This is due to the fact that the anus is very close to the internal genitals of the virgin. Pregnancy will be 100% if the man has very active sperm.

A healthy woman with a regular menstrual cycle who has reached puberty can conceive. It does not matter at all whether she is a virgin or not. The fact is that the hymen, located in the internal genital organs, is not a whole mucous membrane. During menstruation, blood flows freely through it. This also makes the passage of sperm possible.

Standard contraceptives are the best way to prevent unwanted pregnancies. The couple can be sure that conception will definitely not happen when using them.

You should defend yourself not only during the first sex, but also during subsequent coitus. The condom is considered the most suitable and popular form of contraception for inexperienced partners. It has significant advantages over other contraceptive options. It protects not only from conception, but also possible sexually transmitted infections.

Hormonal contraceptives are considered very effective. Young girls should use them carefully and be sure to consult a gynecologist before using them. Otherwise, serious health problems can arise.

Can a virgin get pregnant without penetration?

Most young couples practice genital stimulation very often. In this case, the penis does not penetrate into the vagina. Can a virgin be pregnant after such actions or is it impossible?

Experts say that there is a chance, but it is negligible. They say that sperm will only reach an egg in about one in 1000.

This will only happen when the sperm enter the vagina through the external genitals. But they must be very resilient and active. Therefore, it is quite difficult for a virgin to become pregnant without penetration.

Getting pregnant from petting without sex: truth or myth?

Mutual affection can lead to a virgin becoming a mother. Although there is no vaginal penetration in this case, male sperm easily enters the vagina through the opening in the hymen. Therefore, getting pregnant from petting without sex is very easy.

In the practice of gynecologists, there have been many cases when doctors find out that a woman has a whole hymen while standing at the delivery table. The rupture of this film appears only during delivery.

This is due to the fact that such a film can stretch to the size of a man's penis. Whether a virgin can get pregnant, consider all the options further and summarize.

Pregnancy with masturbation: is it possible?

You need to know that in order for fertilization to occur, certain requirements must be met. Conception will not happen without the participation of a sperm and an egg. Therefore, not having a man nearby, it will not work to become pregnant with masturbation. The only exception is the case when fertilization was performed artificially.

It should be remembered that a virgin can become a mother only if the sperm is in the vagina. Another prerequisite is the sexual maturity of both partners. If a girl has never had a period, then she will not be able to get pregnant.

Even in the presence of favorable factors, fertilization of the egg is not always possible. Conception occurs only on ovulation days under favorable conditions.

When can you get pregnant from masturbation? There are several situations when conception occurs from self-gratification:

  • ejaculate is present on the hands of a young man, and at the same time it stimulates the partner's genitals;
  • there are sperm residues on the girl's fingers, and she caresses herself with her fingers;
  • on the object that is being caressed, there is the ejaculate of a man.

Of course, it is very difficult to conceive in such cases, but you should not neglect contraception and hygiene rules. It should be remembered that self-satisfaction will not lead to the appearance of motherhood if it was carried out without the presence of a male partner. In order for pregnancy to occur, sperm must enter the female genital tract.

After reading this article, the question of whether a virgin can get pregnant should no longer worry. Any girl can easily become a mother if she neglects methods of contraception. Read reviews or write your opinion on the forum in the section.

Someone has dreamed of getting pregnant for years, and someone every month worries that it was accidental, but has already happened.

In order to understand the conditions, peculiarities and accidents of conception, the correspondent turned to the obstetrician-gynecologist of the city center of extragenital pathology during pregnancy in Minsk, Ekaterina Svirskaya.

Is it possible to get pregnant ...

With interrupted intercourse?

Interrupted intercourse is far from being a guarantee. There can be several reasons for a possible unwanted pregnancy.

First, some of the sperm can be secreted during intercourse as part of the lubricant.

Secondly, some men do not ejaculate more than once, they do it throughout the entire intercourse.

Repeated sexual intercourse is also not safe, since sperm cells can remain in the male genital tract, which, quite possibly, will enter the woman.

And, of course, the higher a man's sperm concentration, the higher the likelihood of getting pregnant. Therefore, 100% safety is out of the question.

With anal sex?

Yes, because the vaginal and anal openings are too close. Sperm can flow into the vagina by purely mechanical means and cause pregnancy.

The same thing often happens in adolescents with petting. A fairly common situation when a girl claims that she is not sexually active, and gynecologists are surprised to find pregnancy against the background of a whole hymen. This phenomenon is explained again by the purely mechanical ingress of sperm into the vagina.

When breastfeeding?

Lactational amenorrhea as a method of contraception has a right to exist. But at the same time, many conditions must be observed: the child must not be more than six months old; a woman should not have menstruation during this period; breastfeeding should be carried out at the request of the child and at least 2-3 times a night, breaks between feedings - no more than three hours.

The hormone responsible for breastfeeding, prolactin, is produced in the pituitary gland, which also produces hormones that regulate our menstrual cycle and cause ovulation. If prolactin is high, then it suppresses the hormones responsible for the cycle, and there are no monthly changes in the woman's body. If there was menstruation at least once after childbirth, then there was not enough prolactin and this method of contraception no longer works.

When exactly this hormone was not released enough - and ovulation happened, it is impossible to determine exactly. Therefore, sometimes pregnancy can occur before the onset of the first menstrual period when breastfeeding.

During the first intercourse?

It’s even possible. After all, the readiness of her body is responsible for a woman's pregnancy, and not how often she lives a sex life. The first time it happened or not, does not play any role in conception.

If you missed your birth control pill?

It's not that scary. If you missed a pill, but continue to follow the instructions, the probability of getting pregnant is no more than 1-2%. The manufacturer gives a guarantee only if it is used correctly.

After taking oral contraceptives?

It is completely normal for a woman to remain sterile, unable to conceive, for 3-4 months after taking the contraceptive pill for a long time (more than 6 months). The body needs time to recover, and the cycle may be longer than usual.

The end of taking contraceptives, after 3–6 months of use, can cause, on the contrary, the so-called return effect. Sleeping eggs begin to actively develop, pregnancy is already very likely, and even twins are possible.

After the bath?

Regarding women: any extreme factor (including high temperature) can bring down the menstrual cycle, you will miscalculate safe days and get pregnant ... But if a bath, sauna, etc. is a common thing for you, it will not harm conception.

But this statement can still be considered fair, given the important role of the stronger sex during conception. In men, by nature, full-fledged sperm develop at temperatures lower than body temperature. Therefore, their scrotum is not located inside the pelvis, but outside.

If the temperature is high, in the bath, for example, the sperm will die and conception will not occur.

Taking the "birch" posture after intercourse?

Raised legs, or "birch", increase the likelihood of sperm getting into the opening of the cervix purely mechanically. Women who follow this recommendation are more likely to conceive than those who immediately after having sex run to the shower, to work, etc.

Is there a calendar method of protection and safe days?

To understand this issue, first of all, it is necessary to correctly define what a cycle is. For every woman, this is the period from the first day of the last menstruation to the first day of the next.

About the middle of the cycle, ovulation occurs - this is the release of an egg from the ovary. Before ovulation, the phase is different for everyone, but after almost everyone is the same - 14 days. The ovum is viable for about 3 days, the sperm for about 7.

You can calculate the time of possible conception as follows: from the first estimated day of the beginning of the next menstruation, we subtract fourteen days and get the date of ovulation. We subtract seven more days from this date (sperm viability) - from this day there is an increased likelihood of pregnancy.

To the first number (the date of ovulation) we add three more (the viability of the egg) and we get the time of the end of the period favorable for conception. The greatest danger for many to become pregnant is these 10 days. The days after menstruation are only relatively safe, if the cycle is out of order, pregnancy can occur during menstruation.

It turns out that women with a short cycle (21-24 days) have no safe time at all.

Conception and the female orgasm: is there a relationship?

When a woman has an orgasm, the cervix opens and forms a kind of gate for better penetration of sperm. Nature has foreseen everything: if a female orgasm interfered with conception, then there would be no meaning in it and it would not have happened.

Who is still responsible for the sex of the unborn child?

The generally accepted statement that the birth of either a boy or a girl depends only on the man is not entirely true. Naturally, each child receives half of the chromosome set from the mother and half from the father.

The genetic set in men and women is almost the same, with the exception of one chromosome. The mother has two X chromosomes, the father has Y and X. The sex of the child will depend on which chromosome the sperm is the first to bring to the uterus. Everything is correct.

But to say that only a man is responsible for gender is wrong. If intercourse occurred 3 days or more before ovulation, then male Y chromosomes, which are considered lighter and less tenacious, die, and X chromosomes, heavy and viable, fertilize an egg, and girls are born.

If conception occurred during ovulation, then lighter male spermatozoa break out forward - more boys appear.

As for the discussion of numerous diets for the birth of children of a certain gender, I can say the following. I admit that there may be statistics due to which food products more sperm X survive, for example. But then it turns out that not only the expectant mother should adhere to a certain diet, but, by analogy, the future father.

The more often you have sex, the more likely you are to get pregnant?

This is not true. One of the main myths is the connection between potency and infertility. In reality, a man with a very weak potency may have good sperm for conception, and the "sex giant" may suffer from infertility.

If intercourse occurs every day, or even several times a day, the couple's ability to conceive, oddly enough, decreases. With this rhythm, the number of sperm in the seminal fluid decreases, so conception is less likely.

On the other hand, if you make love less than once a week, there is a risk of simply not getting into the ovulatory period.

Basal temperature measurement and ovulation tests - which is more accurate?

Ovulation tests determine the peak of female hormones in the body. The principle is exactly the same with pregnancy tests. But, if the peak of hormones was recorded, it is not a fact that ovulation did occur.

Basal temperature measurement is a more informative method, but it is important to apply it correctly.

Basal temperature is necessarily measured in the rectum with an electronic thermometer every day at the same time, without getting out of bed after at least 3 hours of sleep / lying. For example, every morning when you wake up.

Before ovulation, basal temperature is usually below 37 degrees. Before ovulation itself, it may decrease a little more, and then, after ovulation, it will grow by half a degree or even more, but not necessarily above 37.

Such an elevated temperature should be maintained throughout the second phase. This suggests that the woman has enough hormone that keeps the pregnancy. If the temperature does not hold, this is an excuse to help her with medication.

Keeping a basal temperature diary helps doctors determine the cause of possible infertility or miscarriage and help in time.

The rate of pregnancy in a healthy couple with a regular sex life without contraception is 1 year, but couples, as a rule, begin to worry much earlier. Therefore, we advise you to measure the temperature.

Are older partners less likely to have children?

In men after 40 years of age, the percentage of a genetic defect in sperm is much higher, they are less viable, and it is often more difficult to get pregnant from such a man. Genetic breakdowns after 40 years occur a lot in both women and men.

It is believed that the age group at risk is women after 36, and men after 40. That's the whole difference. At the expense of which - male or female - the genetic pathology happened to analyze then it is already impossible, and there is no need. We all age, and our sex cells also age.

But in older partners, the likelihood of having twins increases from 1% to 3%. Oddly enough, but in age partners, the zygote (a cell formed as a result of the fusion of a female and a male) in the womb begins to divide more often.

Will aspirin injected into the vagina save you from pregnancy after intercourse?

This conventional wisdom is based on the fact that sperm do not like an acidic environment, they die in it. Therefore, they try to prevent accidental unwanted conception by introducing into the vagina and aspirin, and lemon slices, and vinegar, and much more, creating an acidic environment for such images.

These are all folk methods, official medicine does not approve of them.

Sexual illiteracy knows no boundaries. As a child, we believed that you can get pregnant only by kissing a person of the opposite sex. However, even in puberty, the result of sexual ignorance can be an unplanned child. Today we will answer the question whether it is possible to get pregnant without sex.

By standard sex, we mean classic vaginal sex between a man and a woman. During sex, ejaculation occurs and about three million sperm rush to meet the egg. Such a meeting can end in pregnancy and childbirth if the couple does not think about contraception.

It is possible to get pregnant without sex when a couple is petting. It is customary to call petting the intimacy between a man and a woman without vaginal contact, when arousal occurs through kisses and caresses. If a man's ejaculation occurs in the immediate vicinity of a woman's genitals, dexterous and fast spermatozoa can cover the distance to the vagina and reach the fallopian tubes, where they usually meet with the egg. Pregnancy is also possible if, during petting, a man caresses himself with his hands, and then a woman.

Pregnancy should not be ruled out if the couple is engaged in anal sex due to the close proximity of the anal and vaginal openings. Again, a man's semen can leak into a woman's vagina. The possibility of pregnancy with oral contact is excluded. Of course, there are cases of amazing pregnancies in the world, which, according to the laws of nature, simply should not have happened. For example, the sensational story about the German tennis player Boris Becker and the Russian top model Angela Ermakova. The latter gave birth to a daughter from Becker, however, according to him, they had only oral contact. The official DNA examination confirmed the tennis player's paternity, and the conception expert explained that pregnancy could well have occurred if Yermakova, within 10 minutes after oral contact, ferried the seminal fluid "for the intended purpose."

Of course, if a couple has a problem with conceiving, they have the option of getting pregnant without sex by resorting to in vitro fertilization (IVF) or, as it is called, in vitro fertilization, which is used by couples or women who cannot get pregnant on their own. An egg is removed from a woman's body and in a test tube it is found with pre-selected sperm. After that, embryos are grown for several days and implanted in the woman's uterus. Often, doctors carry out replanting of several embryos to increase the chance of successful fixation and development of the fetus. Two weeks after the embryo transfer, a woman should be tested for the hCG hormone to determine the presence or absence of a developing pregnancy.
