What is the "Plato" system and how does it work

In November 2015, the Platon road toll system was put into operation on the territory of the Russian Federation.

At the same time, the Platon system itself works in automatic mode, and at the moment when the vehicle leaves the toll highway, it goes into standby mode, or it starts to calculate the payment at a different rate when a multi-tonne truck moves to another paid section of the road (for example, there the rate is more or vice versa, less). Which cars are eligible for payment

It is not advisable to mention the entire list of car brands, it is enough to know only one thing: only those vehicles that fall under the law are subject to the law. belong to the category of 12-ton trucks.

Thus, according to Federal Law of the Russian Federation N257, in particular Article 31.1, from payment vehicles are exempt, which:

are engaged in the transportation of passengers (the exception is cargo-passenger vans);
belong to the category of service vehicles: fire service, internal affairs bodies, utilities, military inspection, ambulance, and at the same time they have special light and sound signals;
are in service with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, as well as those trucks that are exclusively engaged in the transportation of heavy military equipment, including the military property itself.

Registration procedure in the system

a document that confirms the legality of the work of this company;
a copy of a document that confirms that this company or an individual has the right to engage in entrepreneurial activity;
personal information (concerns persons who represent the interests of carriers).

If the interests of an individual or legal entity protected by their representative on the territory of the Russian Federation, then in addition to the main above list of documents, it is necessary to provide personal information, namely:

a valid contact phone number;
a valid email address.

By filling out the required form on the website and attaching copies of all necessary documents, an individual entrepreneur, a legal company, or a representative represented by them from another state agrees to the processing of individual data by the Platon system. Only after that, he fits into the general Register and receives an entrance to his personal account, where he is assigned a secret code.

Calculation rules

If we recall previous years, there was a lot of talk around the Platon system, or rather tariffication, which was accompanied by numerous strikes throughout the country.

Initially, the Government of the Russian Federation planned to take from the owners of trucks for each kilometer of the way 3.73 rubles. Massive trucker protests swept across the country and the tariff was reduced to RUB 1.53 per kilometer. In this amount, he lasted until April 2017, after which he was increased, and the cost of the traveled kilometer began to be RUB 1.90 This tariff is in effect at the beginning of 2019, but there are persistent rumors that the amount will be indexed by the inflation rate from July 1, 2019. As you can see, there are few calculation options, but, nevertheless, each of them allows you to make payments for movement on federal highways without much effort.

What problems are there in this system. Is it possible to deceive her

Most of the truck owners are asking the same question - is it possible to cheat this payment system? Various forums for motorists literally explode with such questions and ideas, but, nevertheless, no one provides clear options.

One of the most popular advice is considered to be the use of so-called GPS jammers, or driving a vehicle with dirty license plates.

Some truckers assure that by using the road train option, both the withdrawal of payment and possible penalties can be avoided.

In any case, many experts argue that such experiments can result in a fine of up to 450,000 rubles for drivers.
