Property taxes for citizens of retirement age - latest innovations

Retirees do not need to pay property tax on real estate, however, this rule only works under those circumstances when the pensioner owns only one real estate object.

Provided that a representative of this category of citizens has two or more apartments or houses, he can only count on exemption from tax on property with a higher value.

The second property will be subject to general taxation. Provided that one property is registered in the declaration, the pensioner is not obliged to pay anything to the state for it.

However, for this to happen at the legal level, it is necessary to submit an application to the Federal Tax Service in accordance with the established form. As for those who do not want to comply with this rule, they will receive monthly receipts demanding payment.

Tax refund subject to the acquisition of a real estate object or, in other words, a property deduction, which is 1 million rubles, is available on a general basis. However, it is possible to get access to it, subject to a number of legal aspects.

The main criteria include the following: the date of the citizen's retirement and the full correspondence between the declared expenses and the confirmed income.

With regard to income tax, this type of benefits does not apply and, in addition, if a pensioner decides to sell his property, be it a house, apartment or room, then under such circumstances, mandatory tax deduction in favor of the state budget is inevitable.

So far, there is no data on the upcoming amendments and changes in the regulatory legal acts of the land sphere of civil legal relations, but the President of the Russian Federation in one of his public speeches said that the Government would revise all the main articles to bring the norms of land law as close as possible to the real situation. in the state.

Due to some economic nuances and problems, a number of benefits will be canceled, however, these measures will be temporary, until positive changes occur, and as a result, the Government of the state will return all benefits, and even increase in size.
