Famous Armenian businessman and philanthropist Levon Hayrapetyan has died. Levon hayrapetyan died legally imprisoned Levon hayrapetyan how does he feel

October 18 at 8:15 am in the Mordovian colony general regime Prominent philanthropist Levon Hayrapetyan died at IK No. 12. Back in mid-August, "Interlocutor" wrote that the businessman's condition requires urgent hospitalization.

But we were not heard.

So, Zubovo-Polyansky district court Several times he rejected the application for Hayrapetyan's release for health reasons. This district court was not embarrassed even by the fact that its decision was canceled Supreme Court Mordovia and appointed a new examination. But - alas - a new trial took place in the same Zubovo-Polyansky court, which again and again confirmed its unwillingness to release the sick elderly person.

On October 18 in Saransk in the Supreme Court of Mordovia there was just such a strange decision of the Zubovo-Polyana judges.

“I came to the hearing,” says Hayrapetyan’s lawyer Halim Mescherov, “and the judge told me: there will be no consideration, —that my client has died ... It was a blow for me. After all, I applied four times to send it to medical institution LPU IK-21. And he was refused all the time. Due to the fact that "the treatment of convicted Hayrapetyan L. G. is organized in accordance with the provisions of the legislation in the field of health protection."

For the inexperienced reader, let’s explain: in LPI IK-21 there is a hospital and conditions for inpatient treatment. In IK-12 there is only a doctor. This is hardly enough for a disabled person of the II group - a person who has suffered, suffering from hypertensive disease of the III degree, diabetes mellitus, having an oncological disease and a bunch of concomitant health problems ...

It is for these indications that the law permits the release of a convicted person. But in Mordovia, Hayrapetyan did not see any health problems.

“He was a frankly sick person,” says the lawyer. - I could neither sit, nor stand, nor sleep. There was no doubt about his illness. Moreover, it was confirmed by a multitude of certificates, examinations, the conclusion of professors.

Meanwhile, the answer to all the lawyer's petitions has always been the standard: no. They even specially examined the prisoner, but the doctors predictably did not find any reason to change their minds.

- Levon Gurgenovich said that although he was taken to the hospital for examination, they did not do any real examinations, only for some reason they looked at his legs, - says the lawyer.

Back in August, after another decision of the Zubovo-Polyansky District Court that Hayrapetyan could not be released for health reasons, Mescherov said:

- For some reason, the Raisud takes into account everything that is against my client. At the same time, everything that is in favor of Levon Gurgenovich is ignored. All this looks like an order: do not let go in any case. And everything is done in order not to let him go. So let the person die, right?

He died in the end.

Hayrapetyan became frankly ill on Monday evening, October 16. He was able to contact the editorial office: pressure 84/44, could neither get up nor sit down ...

Meshcherov later said that on Tuesday evening, October 17, Levon called him. The lawyer, by the way, also noted that he had never heard such a weak voice from his client. Levon told him that he was on a gurney, but not in the hospital.

And in the morning he was gone.

I would like to believe that the judges of the Zubovo-Polyansky court, who have signed more than one decision denying the release of a terminally ill person, awaits at least an analysis on qualification board... That the doctors who gave the conclusion that Hayrapetyan is practically healthy and does not need inpatient treatment will be punished for violating the Hippocratic oath. And the FSIN officers, who answer with a blue eye that Hayrapetyan, suffering from a bunch of serious diseases, had all the treatment he needed in a colony where there is no hospital or modern equipment, are awaiting an official investigation.

Maecenas Levon Hayrapetyan died today at dawn in a prison in Mordovia.

The entrepreneur made a great contribution to the development and improvement of Artsakh. At his expense, programs were implemented in his native village of Vank, Martakert region, the reconstruction of the Gandzasar monastery complex.

Since April 2016, he has been serving a sentence on an apparently fabricated charge based on the statement of Igor Izmestyev, who received a life sentence for terrorism. I wonder if there is still a similar precedent in the world - to jail a person on the complaint of a terrorist?

Hayrapetyan, suffering from many diseases, could not stand the conditions of a Russian prison. He was 68 years old

They killed. Have achieved their goal. .. These words are today greeted by our news of the death of Levon Hayrapetyan.

Mid April 2016 Russian court According to the statement of the life imprisoned terrorist Izmestyev, he decided that this elderly and extremely sick person should spend the next four years behind bars. And this was despite the fact that he was a disabled person of the second group and moved with extreme difficulty, suffered from a whole bunch of severe oncological, urological and heart diseases. The most inexperienced observer understood that the judge did not really decide anything and that the case was custom-made from cover to cover. No one doubted that the goal of the customers was to put Hayrapetyan behind bars at all costs.

Instead, the behavior of the so-called "influential Armenians of Russia" evoked extreme loathing. They, who love to make pompous toasts to their solidarity and brotherhood, fanfare about their close ties with the Russian elite, how they open offices with their feet and how they are respected by those who sit in them, then and throughout all these one and a half years of Hayrapetyan's stay in inhuman conditions in the colony, as if they had taken water into their mouths. Each of them naively believed (and, probably, continues to believe) that this could not happen to him ...

In the meantime, the only thing the "influential Armenians" have the right to do in Russia is to pay tribute and drink for their unity.

Bright memory! Rest in peace!

Levon Hayrapetyan with Sergey Lavrov

Entrepreneur Levon Hayrapetyan, who worked as the chairman of the board of directors of the Sobesednik publishing house. And he was always engaged in various monetary affairs.

Levon Hayrapetyan knew many famous people, let's face it: everyone. And all his affairs got away with him, until he took up the purely political case of Igor Izmestyev. Former Senator, closely associated with the Bashneft case, bosom friend and partner of Ural Rakhimov. In general, I climbed where it is not necessary. Then he got caught. He took money from the mother of ex-Senator Igor Izmestyev, promising to soften his fate. Izmest'ev was convicted on a highly dubious murder charge. Hayrapetyan was serving a four-year sentence in the Mordovian colony No. 12 for fraudulent misappropriation of $ 700 thousand received from the mother of a former member of the Federation Council Igor Izmestyev, who was sentenced to life imprisonment, for helping to mitigate the latter's sentence.

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court considered appeal Halim Mescherov, one of Levon Hayrapetyan's lawyers, against the decision of the Zubovo-Polyansky District Court, which rejected the entrepreneur's and defense's petition for his release from the colony for health reasons.

Before the start of the session, the presiding judge Yuri Kichaev told the lawyer that his client had died on Wednesday night in the colony, and suggested that Mr. Meshcherov, according to the latter, withdraw the complaint. The defender refused. Court hearing began with the fact that the prosecutor, who also knew that Levon Hayrapetyan had died and could not take part in the meeting via videoconference, asked the court to dismiss the defense's appeal. The representative of the supervisory agency supervising the FSIN institutions motivated his position by the fact that back in October 2016, the medical commission at the colony No. 21, located in the village of Barashevo, came to the conclusion: bladder cancer diagnosed in the convict, type 2 diabetes mellitus, ischemic disease heart (five stents were introduced to the entrepreneur) and hypertension of the 3rd degree are not included in the government's list of diseases that prevent him from serving his sentence.

"This is all a lie!" - Said, in turn, in court the lawyer Mescherov. He said that the diseases named by the prosecutor, on the contrary, are included in the list of ailments that prevent the patient from being kept in prison. Meanwhile, according to the lawyer, convicted Hayrapetyan was given only three pills a day in the colony, which did not affect his health, and he was also formally examined. The lawyer noted that the Zubovo-Polyansky District Court twice rejected his applications for the release of the businessman, but at the same time the Supreme Court of the republic for the first time agreed with the arguments of the defense, sending the case for a new trial.

However, for the second time, the Supreme Court of Mordovia upheld the position of the prosecutor, recognizing the convict's presence in the colony as justified even after his death.

As it became known to Kommersant, the defense of the former chairman of the board of directors of the Sobesednik publishing house who died in the Mordovian colony Levon Hayrapetyan prepares an appeal to the TFR, intending to bring to justice the employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service, prosecutors and judges who did not allow the entrepreneur to be released from prison for health reasons. On Wednesday, the Supreme Court of Mordovia, a few hours after the death of Levon Hayrapetyan, ruled that he was reasonably detained in the colony. The defense claims that the prisoner's illnesses meant his immediate release.

Businessman was serving a four-year sentence in the Mordovian colony No. 12 for fraudulent misappropriation of $ 700 thousand received from the mother of a former member of the Federation Council sentenced to life imprisonment Igor Izmestiev- for assistance in mitigating the last sentence. ["Interlocutor", 10/18/2017, "Levon Hayrapetyan died without waiting for the help of doctors": - I came to the meeting, - says Hayrapetyan's lawyer Halim Mescherov, - and the judge told me: there will be no consideration, - that my client died .. We have never heard such a weak voice from our chairman of the board of directors. The help, Levon Gurgenovich said, was standard. The doctor came and gave me a pill. There was no talk of any hospital.

However, for the second time, the Supreme Court of Mordovia upheld the position of the prosecutor, recognizing the convict's presence in the colony as justified even after his death.

“When Hayrapetyan was arrested in July 2014 in the Basmanny Court, I asked the attending physician if Levon Gurgenovich had any diseases included in the list of diseases approved by the Russian government for which detention is prohibited, and what would happen if he was nevertheless placed in a cell. The doctor answered unequivocally: a lethal outcome. Fortunately, Hayrapetyan was soon released under house arrest with the opportunity to be treated in a Moscow hospital, ”lawyer Ruben Markaryan, who defended the businessman during the investigation, told Kommersant. Now, according to him, it is obvious that the subsequently passed “soft sentence” with a real term turned out to be fatal.

Another lawyer of the businessman, David Khechyan, denied the FSIN report spread in the media that his representatives petitioned the court to release Levon Hayrapetyan. “The administration of the colony, on the contrary, in every possible way prevented his parole, imposing six administrative penalties, which excluded the possibility of parole, ”said the lawyer. According to him, the only relief that was made for the convicted disabled person of the II group Hayrapetyan was that he was released from all work.

Recall that 69-year-old Levon Hayrapetyan was initially accused by the TFR of helping his son former president Bashkiria Ural Rakhimov that illegally obtained a controlling stake in Bashneft companies, sell it to AFK Sistema... Then he was charged with fraud against the mother of Igor Izmestyev.

According to lawyer David Khechian, Hayrapetyan's apartment on Prechistenka and bank accounts for $ 300-400 thousand have been arrested as an interim measure. non-rehabilitating grounds.

According to Kommersant's information, the businessman's defense intends to seek criminal liability of all officials who could have been involved in his death.

In turn, Igor Izmestyev, who is actively supported by the head of the Moscow Helsinki Group, Lyudmila Alekseeva, has a chance to receive a pardon from the president.

He was accused of legalizing funds from the theft of the Bashkir fuel and energy complex, but was serving a sentence in another case on the denunciation of ex-senator Igor Izmestyev.

The day before, in the Mordovian colony of correctional colony No. 12, at the age of 68, Moscow businessman, director of the Sobesednik publishing house Levon Hayrapetyan, convicted in the Bashneft case, died. Today Hayrapetyan's death was announced by his sister Sonia Hayrapetyan, the information was confirmed on Twitter by the representative of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan. The diplomat called Hayrapetyan "an exemplary patriot and philanthropist."

According to the "Interlocutor", today, October 18, a court session was scheduled, at which the appeal of Hayrapetyan's defense was to be considered. He was repeatedly denied parole, mainly due to the penalties of the camp administration.

Hayrapetyan, who was born in Nagorno-Karabakh, was the largest patron of the unrecognized republic.

The case on the illegal sale of Bashneft shares was initiated in April 2014, the ex-head of the company, the son of the former President of Bashkiria Ural Rakhimov, entrepreneur Airapetyan and the president of AFK Sistema Vladimir Yevtushenkov became his defendants. In August 2014, another criminal case was initiated against the same persons on the sale of shares in the Bashkir fuel and energy complex - on the legalization of Money acquired by criminal means.

According to the investigation, the actual theft was committed in 2003 by Ural Rakhimov. And Yevtushenkov with the help of entrepreneur Levon Hayrapetyan in 2005-2009. allegedly helped to legalize the stolen property.

The legalization case against Yevtushenkov was closed at the end of 2014, and the illegal sale of shares - only in January 2016. By this time, the 71.6% stake in Bashneft owned by Sistema had long since returned to state ownership. In October 2016, the government ordered to sell to Rosneft a 50.075% state stake in Bashneft.

The main thing

Hayrapetyan was detained in the summer of 2014 at Moscow's Domodedovo airport after testimony against him was testified by ex-senator from Bashkiria Igor Izmestyev, who is serving a life sentence for a series serious crimes... According to the investigation, Hayrapetyan committed fraudulent embezzlement of $ 700,000 from the mother of the convicted ex-senator from Bashkiria, Igor Izmestyev, promising to influence the verdict, but not having such an opportunity. In April 2016, the Zamoskvoretsky court sentenced Hayrapetyan in this case to four years in a general regime colony. Hayrapetyan never admitted his guilt.

Hayrapetyan's lawyer Samvel Karakhanyan told Interfax that for the past several months the businessman was in the hospital of the colony in Mordovia, where he was serving his sentence. The lawyer learned about his death from the media. He recalled that his client suffered from several serious illnesses, including oncology of the bladder, heart and kidney diseases, and progressive hypertension.

After the guilty verdict of the Zamoskvoretsky court in the case of deceiving the mother of Senator Izmestyev, Airapetyan's property in Moscow is under arrest. This is an apartment on Prechistenka and bank accounts with $ 300,000-400,000, reminds TASS. The Moscow City Court in December 2016 refused to remove the arrest from this property.

Senator Izmestyev is serving a life sentence for organizing murders. Recently, human rights activist Lyudmila Alekseeva stood up for him before President Putin and asked to pardon him.
