Steam cannon for a bath ceramic tubes. Archimedes steam cannon. Are there any fundamental differences between steam generators for baths, saunas and hamam

It is a well-known statement that a steam bath is good for health. However, the atmosphere in the steam room must meet certain criteria for the procedure to be truly beneficial and to exclude the possibility of burns, overheating, heat stroke and airway problems due to waterlogged air.

Features of the baths

A Russian bath is a well-heated room with a stove, where hot cobblestones are poured with water from a ladle, and then they whip each other with birch brooms. So, ideally, which is rarely achievable precisely because of the quality of the steam. In public baths, the low qualification of the personnel affects, in personal ones - the lack of experience of the owners or their lack of understanding of the principles of vaporization and the effect of heat and steam on the human body for physiotherapy purposes.

The stove in the Russian bath is large, its dimensions can occupy up to a third of the area of the entire steam room

Types of steam

The steam can be wet or dry, depending on the temperature and size of the water particles. In the first case, it is called coarse-dispersive, in the second - fine-dispersion.

It is dry, but not overheated, finely dispersed steam that is most useful for steam room lovers. You can get it in different ways. The traditional one with splashing on stones looks impressive, but it has a low efficiency. What's really going on? After the first bucket, the surface of the stones cools down, the amount of steam generated remains insignificant. The next watering results in the release of wet steam, which quickly condenses in the form of droplets. The atmosphere in the steam room becomes similar to the tropical one: hot and humid, breathing is hard, the benefits are dubious, the harm is obvious. You have to constantly maintain the heat in the stove, be distracted, throw up firewood, monitor the combustion. What is usual in the countryside is not always suitable for urban conditions.

The eternally busy modern man needs maximum output with minimum time investment. Special devices that generate steam come to the rescue. Their advantage is that one and the same steam room can be turned into a Russian bath, a Finnish sauna, a Turkish hammam by adjusting a given mode.

Types of couples

Mankind has known baths since ancient times. There are different types of doubles. They can be reduced to three main types.

Table: steam parameters in typical baths

The steam generator, even if it is made by hand from improvised means, can be configured for any type of steam room. The steam cannon will perfectly cope with the modes of the sauna and Russian bath. As for the hammam, where the atmosphere resembles a warm fog, with the help of a steam cannon, this can be achieved by lowering the temperature of the stones. The method of trial and error, a series of experiments will allow to develop a vaporization technique of the required type.

Differences between steam generator and steam gun

Industry and trade offer dozens of models of steam generators, but for personal needs you can make a device yourself. The principle of operation is simple, materials are freely available.

A steam generator is a container with water, from where hot steam comes out when heated. It is enough to look at the kettle to understand how the generator works.

The steam generator is outside the steam room

The steam cannon has a different working principle.... This is a system of pipes through which water is dosed into the depths of the hot stones. There it instantly turns into steam, which, rising to the surface, dries up.

Any of these devices can be of varying functional complexity. For a personal steam room in an apartment, a country house or in the country, you can make a model that meets your needs and desires.

Making a steam generator with your own hands

To make a steam generator, a home craftsman will need a container with water, a heating source, a steam pipe, control and monitoring devices.

A pressure cooker, a cutoff of a gas cylinder, a decommissioned used boiler, etc. are used as a container. The container must be hermetically sealed and withstand increased pressure.

A tube with drilled holes must be inserted into the cedar barrel.

The heating source can be either with an open flame, as in a heating boiler, or with electric heaters. The power of the device is selected so that the water boils with a large release of steam. Control of water boiling is carried out using a built-in thermometer and pressure gauge, regulation - by valves: shut-off, outlet and safety valves. If possible, load sensors are installed, showing the lower and upper levels at which steam generation is allowed.

The safety valve, through which the excess pressure is released, is an important element of the safety system. Its selection and adjustment should be approached with special care. If a safety valve is not installed, the steam line must not have any shut-off valves restricting the escape of steam. The tank is filled with water through a connection to the water supply system or to a free-standing expansion tank located above the boiler.

High-pressure pipes made of stainless steel, cast iron or metal-plastic are used as a steam line. The material should be chemically neutral, not emitting harmful substances when heated. It should be remembered that a pressurized boiler is a source of increased danger. It is no coincidence that there is such an organization - boiler supervision. Designing and operating a homemade steam generator requires experience, knowledge and skills.

The place where the steam generator will be located must be dry and well ventilated.

The main advantage of the steam generator is that its design can be gradually complicated by adding controls. This, in turn, allows you to vary the production of steam over a wide range of volume, temperature and dispersion, selecting the most comfortable conditions for the individual user.

Steam cannon as an alternative to a steam generator

The device of a steam cannon is much simpler. You need a container with stones, a heating source and a dosed water supply system. The device began to be called a cannon, because the puffs of steam escaping from under the hot stones figuratively resemble gunpowder smoke after a cannon salvo. The effect is achieved by supplying water to the lower part of the stove, which itself is the dome of the stove. As in the case of a steam generator, an open fire can be replaced with heating elements.

Steam gun designed to supply water to the most heated part of the furnace in order to obtain the most dry fine-dispersed steam

Steam cannon material: steel or cast iron. For greater functionality, the tubes are branched, and an additional funnel is mounted in the mug for supplying flavored liquids.

The lower part of the funnel is installed on the furnace firebox and lined with stones

The simplicity of the steam cannon is its advantage, but also its disadvantage. The volume and temperature of the steam is adjusted manually. But the gun is easier to operate and with a little skill it produces very high-quality dry steam. The use of heating elements allows you to add elements of automation and control. For greater efficiency, it is recommended to fill the gun with hot water, and even better with boiling water.

Video: light steam in a Russian bath

The benefits of the bath have been proven many times over, but it should be remembered that the steam bath produces a physiotherapeutic effect on the body. Therapy involves consultation with doctors and dosing. What is good for a young and healthy person can be harmful for a person weakened by illness or age. Physiotherapy procedures can exacerbate chronic diseases. When visiting a steam room, you should pay attention to your well-being.

If you experience discomfort or pain symptoms, it is best to exercise reasonable caution and shorten the time spent in the steam room or change the steam settings in the direction of softening.

With all the simplicity of hand-made steam generators or steam guns, do not forget about maintenance, inspections, and regular cleaning. Salts in the water will deposit as scale and impair the performance of the devices.

Furnaces with open fire require increased fire safety measures. The use of electricity for heating elements is a direct indication of compliance with safety rules when operating electrical appliances. Incomplete combustion of fuel, smoldering lead to an increased concentration of carbon dioxide, and even to the release of carbon monoxide. Consequently, the exhaust of the combustion products must pass through a cleaned chimney.

The steam room door must open outward and not have locking devices. Inside the steam room, switches should be installed to stop the operation of the steam generator. And also, a signaling device will not interfere to attract attention in the event that a person becomes ill and cannot leave the steam room on his own.

A small portable steam generator or mini-gun, assembled with your own hands from scrap materials, will allow you to create an atmosphere in a small room in terms of parameters close to typical, classic baths. When using steam devices, remember the restrictions, safety precautions and the powerful impact of physiotherapy on human health.

Russian people are very skillful and cunning in various devices. Especially where you need to fix a spoiled product in advance. This was the case with the first sauna stoves that went on sale in the middle of the last century. These were Finnish stoves and they came with the names "sauna stove" (hence the name "sauna" in Russia). It is to these furnaces that we owe high temperature conditions. The first domestic ovens were a copy of the Finnish ovens and of course did not differ in modes. In this situation, people who wanted to have steam baths, but did not want to spend money on expensive brick stoves, began to come up with various devices that could provide the conditions of the Russian bath.

Various technical solutions have been tried, which would allow the furnace to be clamped to the desired parameters. It is enough to recall the brick sarcophagi on steel furnaces and it becomes clear that people do not stop at any costs, both labor and financial, to fulfill their plans. But remaking a stove that is not designed for steam modes is a thankless task. Well, imagine if you squeezed the oven with a sarcophagus, it would seem, continue to steam! A couple is not! Such ovens are not designed to produce large steam, and even the one that is unstable in terms of conditions. And again "dancing with a tambourine" begins. And again the craftsmen begin to come up with various devices.
Thus, a closed heater in a steel stove was invented. But its volume cannot be such as to provide and fully satisfy the needs for finely dispersed dry steam. And again, a return to the open stove, but with a new invention - the "steam cannon". The task is to get steam from the hottest part of the stove - the bottom of the stove and the lower heated layers of stones. Definitely, such a decision is the most rational and it made itself felt and people began to take more boldly sauna stoves and use them for bath regimes. This could not fail to be noticed by the manufacturers of stoves, who have a complete crisis on the ideas of bath stoves. They began to produce steam guns of various configurations, patenting them and singing praises about their furnaces equipped with such miracles of engineering, their far from ideal furnaces.

Everything would be fine, but steam cannons have more disadvantages than advantages:

  • Firstly, the bottom of the stove has a small surface and you won't get much steam from it.
  • Secondly, the well-heated stone that lies on the bottom of the stove makes up only about 10% of the total stone.
  • Thirdly, steam passing through the upper layers of cold stone greatly worsens its condition.
  • Fourthly, excess water accumulates at the bottom of the stove and begins to simply boil, filling the steam room with damp and heavy steam, worsening the microclimate in the bath.
  • Fifth, not all ovens can fit a steam gun.

It turned out to be a dead-end development, which has very limited application. Definitely a newer development like a high-speed steam generator, which is installed on the Kazachka furnace, VIRA steam according to Beloye and on some other furnaces has more advantages than a steam gun.

Competent organization of bath procedures is not such a simple matter. The main challenge is getting light and really healthy steam, not heavy and stifling steam. To achieve this with the help of an ordinary stove, you need to be an expert in bathing, but today special devices are being produced - steam generators and steam guns, with which even a beginner can get high-quality steam. Now we will not only get to know these bath accessories better, but also learn how to make them with our own hands.

About the problem of steam generation in the bath

Experts consider the ability to obtain high-quality steam in the usual way, that is, with the help of a red-hot stove, a real art. To do this, it is necessary to ensure that several conditions are met at once:

  1. The stove must be well designed so that the stones are heated to the required temperature.
  2. The volume of the stove must be sufficient for the stones to have the required heat capacity, but not too large, so that their surface does not turn out to be too cold.
  3. You need to know exactly how much and how to pour water so that the stones do not have time to cool down too much, but there was enough steam.

As you can see, there are enough difficulties in this matter. Especially when it comes to the most useful bath - Russian. On the one hand, it is necessary to get a large amount of steam here (the optimum humidity is 50-70%) and, at the same time, it must be light, which distinguishes the Russian bath from the Turkish hamam; on the other hand, the bath must not be overheated, since the temperature in it should not go beyond the range of 45–65 degrees (due to high humidity).

Experienced bath attendants, like tightrope walkers, skillfully find a balance between all the above factors. The inexperienced can achieve the same results with steam guns and steam generators. At the same time, the user gets the opportunity to lower the temperature of the stones, reducing the load on the stove, and when using some models, even abandon it altogether.

Steam cannon: principle of operation

Steam cannon

The steam cannon makes it possible to use for steam preparation not the upper part of the stove, but its bottom, which is at the same time the arch of the firebox. This part of the oven is characterized by the following:

  1. It is hotter than the upper stones (the temperature difference can reach 200-300 degrees).
  2. Due to direct contact with fire, it quickly restores temperature after generating steam.
  3. During the heating, it heats up much faster than stones, therefore, in order to use the steam room, you do not have to wait for the stove to warm up completely.

The cannon is designed in such a way that it solves several tasks:

  1. Provided water supply to the bottom of the stove (it is better if it is boiling water).
  2. She somewhat held on to the generated steam, giving it the opportunity to overheat and thus turn from wet (heavy) to dry (light). Superheated steam under pressure seems to shoot, for which this device was called a steam gun.
  3. I directed the generated steam into the stove, so that, by repeatedly hitting the stones or the bottom, it was crushed even more and thus reached an ideal condition. In this case, the thermal energy of the stones is spent not on steam generation, but only on heating up the steam, so they cool down quite a bit.

Steam guns produced today at the factory have a very different design, sometimes quite complex. But there are also simple options that are quite affordable for self-production. We will now consider one of them. Using his example, it will be easier to understand the principle of operation of such devices.

Homemade steam cannon

The device is shown in the figure.

Homemade steam cannon: components and parts

The following elements are indicated by numbers:

  1. A body made of pipe.
  2. Screw cap.
  3. Stainless steel watering can or glass.
  4. Connection nut.
  5. Steam check valve.

It is necessary to supply water through the watering can in order to avoid its contact with the relatively cold walls of the cannon channel (its temperature corresponds to the temperature of the stones). Otherwise, the liquid will begin to evaporate even during draining, but not too intensely, so that the resulting steam will be soggy. In this state of affairs, the water may not reach the bottom of the stove at all.

If you serve it in a trickle with the help of a watering can, then all of it will be on a hot bottom and immediately turn into dry superheated steam. Since the outlets are very small, it will not be able to leave the channel quickly and will warm up in the gun for some time.

As already mentioned, when steam is generated in the channel of the gun, the pressure rises and so that it does not "shoot" through the pouring can, a steam check valve should be installed under it.

Factory steam guns can be equipped with water dispensers. This device provides a periodic supply of steam in automatic mode.

Steam generator: principle of operation

A steam generator is just a container with an electric heater, very similar in structure to an electric kettle. The principle of operation is extremely simple: water is poured, the heater turns on, the liquid boils and turns into steam. The cover has a valve that can be adjusted to a particular opening pressure. Thus, it is possible to obtain steam at different temperatures. It can be raw if the user intends to create the atmosphere of a Turkish hammam, or overheated for a Russian bath.

Electric steam generator: general view

Note that the raw steam in the hammam is not heavy, that is, it does not give a feeling of stuffiness, since such a bath heats up to a relatively low temperature of 45 degrees.

The steam generator can be paired with a heater. In this case, the steam it produces is fed to the stones for final reheating. Such a scheme allows you to get by with low costs of expensive electricity and at the same time lower the temperature of the stones, reducing the load on the furnace and thereby extending its service life.

Another option is to use it without a heater at all. Electricity costs will increase, but you will not have to build a massive stove with a foundation and a chimney, you will only need to equip a heating system in the steam room.

Here's what to look for when choosing a steam generator:

Power

This parameter should be linked to the volume of the steam room. The dependence is something like this:

  • for a volume of 4–5 m 3: 4–5 kW;
  • for 10-13 m 3: 8-10 kW;
  • for 15-18 m 3: 12 kW;
  • over 18 m 3: 16 kW.

Steam generators with higher power are also produced, but these are no longer household models.

Note! Devices over 9 kW are usually designed for 3-phase connection.

Electric heaters: types and photos

The following heating systems are used in modern steam generators:

  1. Heating elements: the conversion of electrical energy into heat is carried out using a tubular electric heater (heating element), just like in a boiler or kettle.

    Heating element

  2. Electrode: inside the container there are two electrodes, between which a current flows. Water itself acts as a conductor of electricity, which is why it heats up (like a heating coil in a heating element). The electrode heater has the simplest design (the electrodes are just metal rods) and is not afraid of overheating (it simply does not work in the absence of water). But the electrodes gradually dissolve, and they have to be changed at regular intervals.

    Electrode heaters

  3. Induction: they provide fast heating of water, since with the help of an alternating electromagnetic field they force the entire reservoir in which the water is located to heat up.

    Induction heater

It should be noted, however, that in most cases there is no need to choose: household steam generators, as a rule, are equipped with heating elements.

Water supply method

There are two types of steam generators:

  1. With the ability to connect to the water supply (there is a valve with a servo drive, with which the device refills itself).
  2. Without it (the user fills in water).

The first type of steam generators is more convenient to use and cannot be left without water due to the forgetfulness of the user. But if the water in the water supply system is of poor quality (hard or contains a large amount of rust, sand and other impurities), then the second type will be more preferable, since it allows the owner to use prepared water or obtained from a clean source.

Various options

This is what the most practical steam generator models are equipped with:

For reference: steam generators are often called structures installed on metal bath stoves, designed to replace the heater. They can be in the form of a battery of plates, a glass with a funnel filled with shot and metal scraps, etc.

How to make an electric steam generator

Despite the simplicity of the device, a factory-made steam generator is quite expensive: the average cost is about 1000 USD, and for some models it can reach 10 thousand. This state of affairs prompts you to take up the manufacture of the device yourself. Here's what you need to do this:

  1. High temperature ball valves.
  2. TEN (you can have several).
  3. Heat-resistant gaskets - 4 pcs. for each heating element.
  4. Steam hose.
  5. Pressure gauge.
  6. Safety valve.
  7. Squeegees, the diameters of which correspond to the connecting diameters of devices and fittings.
  8. Container designed for high pressure. For a medium-sized steam room, a gas cylinder is suitable, for a small one - a pressure cooker. In general, the volume of the steam generator should be selected at the rate of 10 liters for every 3 kW of power consumption. It should be borne in mind that the maximum allowable power for a homemade device is 5 kW.

If a cylinder is used, it must be prepared:

  • the valve is carefully unscrewed;
  • the container is filled with water (this action allows you to completely remove the remnants of an explosive gas);
  • then the cylinder is thoroughly rinsed from the inside with water and detergent added.

To work, you will need tools:

  • welding machine;
  • drill;
  • spanners;

You will also need a set of plumbing tools.

Step-by-step instructions for making a device with your own hands

Here's how to make an electric steam generator:

Advice. It is advisable to equip a small steam generator made from a pressure cooker with a filling pipe cut into the very bottom. From the outside, a tap is connected to it, and from the inside - a coil, which will provide heating of the incoming cold water.

Making a steam generator from a pressure cooker

In this case, you will not have to remove the lid when refueling, but how then can you determine the water level in the steam generator? This is easy to do if you use an additional container for make-up, which is connected to the filling nozzle of the steam generator using a hose cut into its lower part.

With the valve open on the filling nozzle, both tanks will be communicating vessels, so that the level of the liquid in the additional tank can be used to judge the degree of filling of the steam generator. For ease of use, inside the second container, you can apply risks corresponding to the maximum and minimum permissible water levels.

This completes the manufacturing process of the steam generator. Now you need to check its body for leaks, and the safety valve for operation at overpressure.

If desired, the homemade model can be improved:

  • instead of a conventional pressure gauge, use one equipped with an electrical outlet;
  • a magnetic starter must be cut into the power circuit.

The pressure gauge is connected to the starter in such a way that the power circuit (power supply to the heating elements) opens at overpressure.

Since the steam generator is a powerful electrical appliance, it is not possible to install it directly in a steam room where there is high humidity. The device is installed in an adjacent room, but at the partition itself, so that the hose through which the steam will be supplied to the steam room is as short as possible (then the steam will not have time to cool down).

The hose must be laid with a slight slope to one side or the other, which will ensure the outflow of the resulting condensate. When laying, it is important to avoid kinks where accumulated condensation could form a plug.

The steam generator should be connected to the power supply network through a circuit breaker and an RCD. When installing the device outside the steam room, the RCD must be rated for a leakage current of 30 mA, otherwise - at 10 mA (due to high humidity in the steam room).

The body of the device must be grounded.

It is necessary to avoid starting the steam generator without water - as a result of such an oversight, the heating element will burn out.

Limescale can also shorten the service life of the appliance. If you have to use water with a high hardness rating, take one of the following measures:

  1. Before pouring into the steam generator, pass the water through a special softening cartridge (contains ion exchange resin).
  2. Water can be passed through a hydromagnetic system consisting of a permanent magnet (causes crystallization of hardness salts) and a fine filter (captures the resulting suspension).

At regular intervals, boil a solution of citric or acetic acid in a steam generator (it helps to remove already deposited scale).

Video: an example of making a homemade steam generator for a sauna

So, today it is easier than ever to get high-quality steam in a bath, if only the user has special devices - a steam gun or a steam generator. Following our recommendations, you can make any of these devices yourself, and then the bath procedures will give the maximum healing effect.

Getting light steam is the main issue for lovers of a Russian bath and some bath attendants are considered only when using a device called a steam cannon for a bath oven. Each designer can call this thing in his own way: a steam generator, a steam generator or something else, but the meaning remains the simplest - getting light steam at a minimum temperature of stones.

I was not mistaken when I said: "at the minimum temperature of the stone." You can always get steam! It is enough to heat the stone to 80 degrees. The water will take a long time to evaporate, but the steam will be soggy. The stone will be damp, the water will leave it slowly turning the steam room into a gas chamber. The load on the lungs and heart increases many times over. In order to solve this problem and allow to steam even before the final warming up of the stone, the designers began to include various metal pockets and plates in the furnaces, which allow water for steam to evaporate on the hotter surfaces of the furnace, which are directly licked by fire.

It is intuitively clear that by forming steam, a stone or metal cools down and takes some time to recover the temperature. And, again, the fastest will accumulate energy and the bottom of the furnace will heat up, into which the heat flow of the fire inside the sauna stove strikes. While the stone in the stove heats up, the bottom of the furnace has a temperature 200-300 degrees higher. Especially at the beginning of the heating of the sauna stove.

Direct the steam cannon to the bottom of the oven

The very name "steam gun" appeared due to the fact that steam should be formed not just in some space, but in a pipe or channel. And the steam flow itself should not just evaporate, but also fly out under pressure. The pressure in the cannon is not accidental. We create it when we close the steam in an enclosed space. "Close the steam in the cannon" is the main task. Only in this way can it not only form, but also overheat, getting an ever finer structure. Superheated steam becomes light!

Many sauna lovers share their developments on the forums. Those who have access to specialized equipment create complex structures of channels and funnels from stainless steel. Kulibins - homemade products simply use pieces of pipes and iron mugs for this purpose. Personally, I tend to use a piece of pipe with holes and a valve to prevent steam from the steam gun from escaping back into the water funnel.

I will give a comparative analysis of a complex factory product of a steam gun and an artisanal pipeline -.

The advantages of a steam cannon of complex design

  • Increased surface area for steam generation, a large number of channels and holes for steam outlet, which allows you to evenly distribute steam flows throughout the heater
  • Impeccable quality of constructional seams of the product
  • Great design
  • Convenience of the funnel of the steam gun for water supply

Factory steam cannon - disadvantages

  • The complex design does not allow it to be installed equally easily in any sauna stove. This is due to the different design solutions of the bottom and roof of the furnace. Ideal stoves for steam guns are flat-bottomed stoves, which are also the arch of the firebox. And there are very few such ovens.
  • High cost - another big stone in the garden called a steam cannon for a bath
  • The inability to redesign the structure and conduct experiments with the installation, incl. and when replacing the sauna stove.

Homemade steam cannon for a sauna stove 1. Pipe 2. Nut-lid 3. Stainless steel glass or watering can 4. Connection nut 5. Steam check valve

Homemade steam cannons from pieces of pipes

  • These are, perhaps, the only solutions that allow them to be ideally adapted to the design of any furnace.
  • The possibility of using non-ferrous metal waste and Chinese household mugs and funnels made of stainless steel provides a low manufacturing cost, as they say "on the knee"
  • Easy laying of the stone near a simple pipe structure and the maximum approach of the injection holes to the metal bottom of the stove, i.e. to the zone of high surface temperature.

How does a steam cannon work?

The main task of the cannon is to deliver hot water (preferably boiling water) to the bottom of the heater with minimal contact with the surface of the cannon itself. Why? It's simple: the cannon itself, being inside the stove, heats up together with the stone and does not always have a high temperature, like the bottom of the stove. More precisely, it never heats up as much as the bottom. If water flows slowly inside the channels of the gun. Then it will slowly evaporate on the not very hot walls of the device. As a result, we get non-dry steam inside the tubes. If there are many outlet openings or there is no shut-off valve for this steam, then this steam may not get to the bottom of the stove and fly out raw onto the stones. Go up to the steam room. Therefore, the best steam cannon is the one with a steam valve. The valve prevents the steam from flying freely into the area of the inlet funnel and the steam under pressure, lingering inside the metal structure, rushes into the holes directed to the bottom of the heater. And the closer to the bottom, the higher the temperature. Already prepared steam, once again falling on the steel bottom of the furnace or stone, is additionally broken into parts and turns into. At the same time, the valuable energy of the stone is not wasted on the process of vaporization itself and the stone does not cool down as quickly as if water was simply splashed on it.

The ideal option for calculating the parameters of a steam gun is when steam is formed inside the tubes and flies out and hits the stone and the bottom. A no worse option is when steam is formed from boiling water pouring out to the bottom of the stove. The steel cools instantly, but manages to form steam, which, rising upward through the stones, heats up and overheats.

Ideal conditions for a steam gun

  1. Boiling water supply to the funnel for the least cooling of the gun structure
  2. Creation of pressure inside the steam generator, which prevents the free exit of steam from the tubes in a raw state. Check valve
  3. The maximum approach of the tubes of the steam gun to the bottom of the stove
  4. Possibility of adding aromatic oils to the steam

On the Internet, you can also find steam cannons for a bath that do not correspond to the name. Here is an example of such a device. In practice, it is useless as a cannon and pretends to be only a splitter of the water flow, and even then with a big stretch. Water simply falls on the stone closer to the bottom of the firebox.

Homemade steam generators from a piece of pipe are easier to descale than complex angular structures.

Of course, steam guns with water dispensers made at the sauna stove factory are ideal. They take into account all the design features and create the longest heating channel for steam. The presence of a dispenser makes it possible to continuously supply steam during the entire vaping time. But the point lies precisely in the fact that superheated steam can be obtained more easily during the "volley". A volley can also be organized by supplying water to a closed heater. It is not uncommon for a splash of steam to lead to foil noise and the opening of the steam room doors due to the resulting blow.

Another cannon idea that requires discussion, refinement and manufacturing.

The essence of the idea - in photo 1-3 below, one of the first variants of the mutual investment fund, which I tested, having installed the UMKA on the stove, heated the change house with steam, set fire to matches. Then this mutual fund was presented to Leonid-nick Kulmaro, who is very pleased with it! Pith generates steam and heats the water perfectly, effectively. In contrast to serially-produced mutual funds with a pair of corrugated hoses, the mutual investment fund with a photo has 4 corrugations - a pair on a steam evaporator and the second pair is connected to an internal tank-cylinder. For a serial mutual fund - photo of scheme 4, the internal tank has no leads.

Offered:

  1. again return to the original version - the inner tank has an inlet and an outlet - that is, a pair of fittings for connecting corrugations.
  2. Fill the inner tank with loose relatively fine stainless material - shot, nuts, spring washers with a diameter of 6-12 mm.
  3. it is necessary to ensure maximum contact of the inner tank with the flame in the furnace! there are two options.
    • A. simple - a skirt in the form of a cylinder of the same diameter is welded from the bottom of the tank, which hangs by 2-3-4-5 cm when installing the PIF? above the furnace tooth
    • B. it is necessary to initially increase the height of the glass so that its lower bottom does not touch the tooth in the firebox only slightly.

So, the stove warmed up the steam room, heated the stones and a glass filled with a new Magol cannon, a corrugation was wound at the entrance of the glass, at the entrance of which a funnel with a check valve was fixed - they gave in and had an explosion - this was Zeus cannon, re-filled - it hissed again, added more and it starts continuous steam generation is already Aphrodite.

The question is - to what extent is option B more effective than option A?

The idea is to obtain the maximum area of evaporation of water, to achieve multiple repetitions of contact for droplets that bounced off before the first contact with metal! It would also be ideal if a pipe with slot-holes inside the glass would go vertically to the bottom through a layer of "balls"!

The GerRR gun turned out to be just excellent. I calmly soared Ira in the pie three times longer than usual.

The cannon continues to amaze with its abilities! I finally made a primitive check valve, or rather just a plug from a funnel for a cognac eggplant. Above - a handle, below "keel" - a weight. As a result, when the lid was lowered into the funnel, after the supply of water, the steam became drier and, most importantly, the water began to evaporate faster from the cavity of the gun! Guerra usually bites for at least 15 minutes after giving up!

He finished the production of a semi-serial sample of the Guerra cannon.

The cannon can issue three modes: "soft female", hard - superheated steam - "male" and combined. It is regulated by changing the position of the water seal - the direction of the steam.

The gun turned out to be universal. It is easily transformed thanks to barrel fittings of various lengths and the movement of the corrugation along the height of the vertical tube.

The last 3 photos show a couple of new guns for customers, slightly different in appearance.

I repeat - with such a "screw-nut", the Guerra cannon has now become safe and "thunders" much louder.
